NITEWORK are a South East London duo creating sleek & soulful UK garage; the collaborative project of vocalist Ell Murphy & producer Medlar.
30th July sees the release of the title track from their second EP ‘Believe’ on Ell’s own Jucey Tunes label, delivering a

summer ready slice of soulful, 90s vocal UKG. With Ell’s sleek R&B vocals gliding effortlessly over Medlar’s classic bumpy beats.

Coming together in late 2019, NITEWORK quickly bonded in the studio over their love for soulful 90s house and UKG,; producing countless tracks in their weekly sessions.

Joining forces with dubplate king Riz La Teef, they released their debut EP Higher on his South London Pressings imprint, with the vinyl selling out on bandcamp within 2 hours of release in October.; setting them up to become a permanent fixture in the growing resurgence of the UK garage scene.

To date, their music has been featured on Rinse FM, Balamii, Rinse France & NTS, with their debut described by The Wire as; “spacious and buoyant vocal-garage, faithful to a time when garage producers were obsessed with the futuristic sound of US R&B, using the rhythmelodics of timbaland and missy elliot to forge a UK counterpart in two-step; snare, hat, bass, keys and vocals sweep past each other without touching, like starlings in a flock”.

This is the first vinyl release on Ell’s Jucey Tunes label, following previous digital releases with
DJ Crisps, Daffy & Bumpi BIznizz. The EP also follows Ell’s debut solo EP on Shall Not Fade sub-label Time is Now; collaborating with Stones Taro, DJ Crisps, Highrise, Picasso & Tuff Trax; proving her as one of the go to vocalist in the scene right now.

The pair are set to launch the EP with their live vocal/DJ set at the Rye Wax takeover of the Somerset House Dodgem Lates event series, alongside Angel D’Lite & VOYS on 29th July.
